Hi Jeffre.

This struck a chord with me. I too sometimes get drunk on downloads. Then I feel bad for bingeing. Then I want more.

I like your 'messages from another world' filter. Its the alien stuff that titillates the jaded, over-stimulated palate. A band that fits that descriptor is Paavoharju. If you don't know them, I recommend their album yha hamaraa.

Also good 'Three fields' by Volga.

And the Secret Museum of Mankind compilations.

Thanks for the tips. This is exactly what I think is good about blogs. It's less like actual one-on-one conversation and more like "one-on-one broadcasting".

I heard about Colin Munroe at http://www.formatmag.com/features/stirlings-top-10-music-videos-of-2008/.
His music is a cross between the "quality" pop of the past 40 years and "progressive" hiphop. So lots of quotation marks, but the combination is strange and good.
